The P-Air Győr-Pér Airport Development Ltd. was founded in 1994. The aim of the company was the utilization of the former military grass airfiled, and also development to an international regional airport.

The new asphalt runway, apron and other infrastructre was opened in 2003.
Due to investment, the Airport Development Ltd. value rised above 1 milliard HUF.
The12 employee Györ-Pér Airport Ltd had been founded in 2003.
The re-opened and developed airport served its first flight in 2003.
